Evan Blass, a.k.a @evleaks, has published what he claims to be the specifications of the next Nexus smarthone, which Huawei is currently preparing for launch in the fourth quarter of this year. @evleaks has a history of sharing very accurate leaks regarding not-yet-launched devices, so chances are the information he posted on Twitter can be treated seriously.
According to the post, the upcoming Huawei Nexus will be a 5.7-inch phablet with QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution display. Inside the metal body, we should expect the yet unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. The device will also, allegedly, feature a fingerprint scanner. Naturally, being a Nexus, it should also be one of the first devices to run the new Android M, scheduled for release this fall.
What’s also interesting, is that the Huawei’s phablet will most likely not be the only Nexus to be launched this year, as LG is also reportedly working on a smaller, 5.2-inch Nexus smartphone. If it so happens, it will be the first time for Google to launch two Nexus phones in the same year.
