LG Nexus 5 2015 scores 85000+ points on AnTuTu benchmark
The new Nexus 5 has supposedly scored 85530 points on the popular AnTuTu benchmark. The smartphone has not been officially announced, but it may carry a Snapdragon 820 SoC.

AnTuTu has a new powerhouse in its database: The LG Nexus 5 2015. The device is still a rumor as there have been no official announcements or release dates just yet. Previous rumors have claimed that Huawei may be responsible for the next Nexus 5, but this new data suggests that LG will continue its partnership with Google for the second generation Nexus 5.

The report from Russia shows an AnTuTu v5.7.1 score of 85530 points for the Nexus 5 2015, which handily beats both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9. The Samsung and HTC have scored 72094 points and 55374 points, respectively, on the same benchmark. In comparison, the Nexus 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and LG G4 lie in the low-to-mid 50000 point range.

A likely processor candidate for the new Nexus 5 may be the Snapdragon 820 based on the high AnTuTu score. This particular SoC also made an appearance on GeekBench earlier last month. Of course, the screenshots below may have very well been faked as the GPU score is much too low at just 12590 points. The Galaxy S6 and One M9, for example, have 3D scores of 21037 points and 18749 points, respectively.
