Speculation over the past few months have been suggesting that Huawei would be responsible for producing the next wave of Nexus smartphones for Google. Now, an anonymous employee has supposedly confirmed the rumors.

According to the staff member, the next Nexus smartphone will be released before the end of this year. It will sport a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution display and run on a Qualcomm 8-core Snapdragon 810 SoC.

Additionally, Google may even release a second smaller Nexus smartphone this year. This will supposedly be a 5.2-inch model with a 6-core Snapdragon 808 SoC. Like the current Nexus 5, LG will be responsible for its production.

The exact release windows and cost of these new Nexus devices are currently unknown. Despite the rumors, no hard photos or benchmarks have leaked to suggest that these models currently exist in the wild.
