Acer S59 LTE smartphone appears on GFXBench
The GFXBench database has revealed yet another unannounced LTE smartphone. This time, the Acer S59 appears to be a 5-inch 720p phone running Android 5.1 on a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC with Mali-T720 graphics. This particular processor was just recently announced earlier this year.
Other specifications are 2 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC, and 13 MP cameras on both the back and front for resolutions of up to 4160 x 3120 pixels.
Additionally, the GFXBench database lists the S59 with 802.11n compatibility, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. NFC, however, is noticeably absent. Presumably, Acer will officially reveal the entry-level smartphone this September at IFA in Berlin.
