The Huawei Mate 20 series' distributor-price structure at launch may have been revealed in a new leak. On the other hand, this leak is Swiss, and, thus, the prices are in francs. However, it may yet be a decent indication of how much the new phones may cost in other markets.

It seems Huawei is yet another company following the trend of device releases with flagships costing US$1000 or more. At least, a new leak alleged to come from a Swiss mobile device distributor has reinforced that impression. It lists three separate categories of the anticipated Mate 20 series, and their prices.

This document lists the Mate 20 Lite (64GB), Mate 20 (128GB) and Mate 20 Pro (128GB). The Mate Lite is listed at 329 Swiss francs (fr), whereas the Mate 20 is listed at 999fr. This is the equivalent of about US$332 and $806 respectively. Those prices look conservative next to that of the Mate 20 Pro's, however, which is 999fr, or about $1008.

It is also to be noted that these prices are not retail, but those proposed to retailers from bigger distributors. Therefore, they may have be scaled up again slightly; for example, the final price of the Mate 20 Pro could be around $1,100. Given the starting prices of other premium contemporaries, this is depressingly plausible.

The Mates 20 and 20 Pro are also listed in three colors, in line with last year, whereas the Mate 20 Lite only has two.
