Sony officially confirmed the list of free games that PlayStation Plus members will get to enjoy in October a few days ago. But while the list was announced on October 2, the games will go live today, on October 7.
While Sony has not confirmed the exact release time for the games, they will most likely be added at 2 AM PDT today, which converts to 5 AM EDT and 10 AM BST. This is the standard release time for PS Plus games, with Sony announcing the list on the first Wednesday of each month and releasing the games the following Tuesday.
As confirmed earlier, joining this month’s PS Plus lineup are Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon. All three games offer plenty of content, so there’s enough to keep you busy for the entire month. However, do keep in mind that while Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon are available for both the PS5 and PS4, Alan Wake 2 is only for the PS5.
Another important thing to note is that at 1 AM PDT, exactly an hour before the new games get added, the September PS Plus games (Stardew Valley, Psychonauts 2, and Viewfinder) will leave the service. So, make sure to add them to your library before that.
