PlayStation Plus free games for October 2025 revealed

Sony has officially shown off the PlayStation Plus lineup for October 2025. It lines up with an earlier leak, which stated it would bring a highly rated Remedy Entertainment game to the subscription service. All three titles will be playable on October 7 and free to keep with an active PlayStation Plus membership of any tier.

Alan Wake 2 is the headliner for this month. Even though it is technically a sequel, one doesn't need to play the first game to understand the second. Alan Wake 2 is a mix of survival horror elements with puzzle-solving. It relies on environmental storytelling and has some stunning visuals. As a result, it is only available on the PS5.

Next up, there's Goat Simulator 3, an open-world sandbox title that lets you play as an invulnerable goat. There isn't much in the way of a story. Commandeer a goat, wreak havoc...or don't. It's all up to you. Goat Simulator 3 is playable on the PS5 and PS4.

Cocoon is an indie title developed by the same gameplay designer who made Limbo and Inside a success. It has you solving puzzles and progressing along a map in an interconnected world. The game isn't particularly long, and you can beat it in 3-4 hours in your first playthrough.
