Sega and Puma have revealed a limited-edition Sonic the Hedgehog sneaker collection, just soon after the release of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, the new Mario Kart: World rival, which has already sold over 500,000 units in the first week across all platforms.
The new collaboration reimagines classic Puma silhouettes with nods to Sonic, Shadow, and Tails so fans can go fast like the Blue Blur without skimping out on style. Puma had previously revealed the trainers back in August, but Sega has now showcased the full capsule collection.
At the core of the collection are three sneaker models, each paying homage to the three iconic characters from the franchise. The Puma Inhale gets a fresh coat of paint in Sonic’s electrifying cobalt blue, with Sonic-shaped lace shrouds, swappable hook-and-loop heel tabs, and replaceable Formstrips, resembling Sonic’s quills, all complemented by a golden ring, strung by laces.
Shadow’s brooding vibe takes over Puma’s Inverse in a black base coat, with red chrome accents inspired by his hover shoes, and the same modular accessories. Rounding out the capsule collection is Tails in another Inverse, sunny yellow-and-orange colorway, featuring Miles' Tales Prower’s silhouette on the tongue and curve of the lace loops.
The collection is priced between $100 and $140, depending on the model, with a kid’s GS version of the Inhale priced at $70. The new Sonic x Puma collaboration will be available via Puma’s website, flagship stores, and select retailers starting October 30, 2025.
The collection also steps into apparel and accessories, drawing direct cues from Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. The Track Jacket and Track Pants feature a blacked-out scheme held up by bold red piping, paying homage to Shadow. Likewise, a distressed washed-out hoodie with Sonic’s silhouette plastered across the back pays homage to the Blue Blur.
Puma also makes its way into Sonic Racing: Crossworlds via a complimentary decal pack with eight designs, which are unlockable at no extra charge for all game owners.
This isn’t the first time Puma and Sega have collaborated. Earlier in February 2020, Puma collaborated with Sega, releasing the Puma x Sonic RS-0, which coincided with the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
