If you were planning to buy a refurbished Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro directly from Google, you’ll be disappointed to learn that the company has stopped selling these models on the Google Store. While they were available a while ago, both phones no longer appear on the store.
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were released back in 2021, and Google started selling their refurbished models last year in October. Refurbished phones are basically devices that have been previously owned or returned, but then carefully tested, repaired if needed, and restored to like-new condition. The best part is that Google also offers a one-year warranty with refurbished phones, so you’re covered if the device has any technical issues.
Previously, the refurbished Pixel 6 was selling for $330 on the Google Store, while the Pixel 6 Pro carried a higher price tag of $539. While Google hasn’t explained the reason for their removal, it’s likely because the devices will stop receiving software updates next year.
Right now, the only refurbished models available on the Google Store are the Pixel 7a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro. The good news is that the refurbished Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have received price cuts and are now available for $359 and $539, respectively. Previously, they were listed for $429 and $629. In other words, you can now get the refurbished Pixel 7 Pro for the same price the Pixel 6 Pro was listed at before.
