Half-Life: Element 64 is a mod that changes the gameplay of this game released in 1998 and adds some new features. And a demo is available on Steam, although its release date has not yet been announced.

Released in 1998, Half-Life has strongly influenced the world of FPS by its mechanics, but also its gameplay. Mixing scripted scenes with unique action sequences for this era, many people were marked by this title. However, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Half-Life 3, and in the meantime, developers have decided to create their own mod, Half-Life: Element 64.

Developed by Dark Vector, this mod is still in development, but it is possible to try it on Steam. Of course, don't expect a game running on Unreal Engine 5, as it recreates the atmosphere of this 1998 title with graphics from that era, bringing a touch of nostalgia for thousands of players.

Thus, the changes are in the gameplay. It must be said that the story is modified, becoming almost a new game with four new chapters, which are Quantum Entanglement, Out of Service, Further Transmission, and Temporal Matter. Each level allows you to discover various places, such as medical bays and security rooms, but also maintenance tunnels, or even bunkers.

You'll face various enemies, which are aliens, zombies, and military contractors. In addition, this mod has also removed certain features, as there are no more train rides and nothing will happen to you in the test chamber. However, no release date has been unveiled, and no one knows when it will happen.
