It would have been a nice surprise for CES 2017, if it was true. Last week, rumors came up, that HTC will announce the HTC Vive 2, the successor to last year's Virtual Reality headset in Las Vegas in a few days. Featuring 4K-displays, a higher refresh rate and wireless operation, it might have convinced quite a few VR fans to shell out money for a new VR headset and a capable PC. However, HTC said recently, that rumors suggesting a CES release next week are not true and that they will not introduce a new version of the HTC Vive. Instead HTC is committed to focus on the growing ecosystem around the HTC Vive so we might at least see new VR-content at CES 2017.
