Reviews for the HTC Desire 22 Pro
At $400, the HTC Desire 22 Pro's launch price was way too high. However, in the meantime, it is significantly cheaper. Since the smartphone is said to score well with its exclusive Metaverse features, our catch-up review reveals whether or not the HTC phone is actually something special.

The HTC Desire 22 Pro smartphone might not appeal to a wide range of users because of the downgraded specs, especially, the hardware and display section. Apart from this, the phone grants a good set of triple camera configurations for beautiful camera results and renders a clean UI experience. However, the price point is going overboard just in the name of new ecosystem support. We won’t recommend you this phone in the first place because it doesn’t offer anything outstanding that currently, the mainstream brands are offering. Besides this, the phone is available only in Taiwan and the EU. So the phone got a limited market reach, in that case, you should look for an alternative such as Realme 10 Pro for a complete deal.

Unfortunately, I can't end this review on a positive note, but I simply cannot recommend this phone to you. He has too many shortcomings in relation to how much he costs for his purchase to make any sense. I must admit that with great relief I packed this phone into the box and sent it back to the manufacturer. I think I will rather keep my positive memories of HTC smartphones from years ago, and I will just try to forget about it as soon as possible. I say this with sincere regret.

HTC's new Desire 22 Pro is an intriguing phone wrapped in NFT and introduced to the market as a surprise release from the Taiwanese phone maker. The device has been promoted as the perfect companion for journeying into the metaverse. One of the reason for such promotion is due to the fact that this phone is said to be the ideal companion to ‘Vive Flow’ which is the company's VR glasses. Having said that, this device was meant to serve as a gateway into immersive experiences and the "Viverse" which is none other than the HTC's own suite of metaverse-focused apps.
Apart from that, it is worth noting that Blockchain-based features are rife on the Desire 22 Pro. The phone comes with something called Vive Wallet, which allows monitoring of the owned NFTs and the performance of the cryptocurrencies, while Viverse Market allows purchasing of stuffs in the metaverse. With these features in place, it is quite clear that the HTC is actually targeting the pro-Blockchain user types who owns crypto or NFTs and also has an interest in the metaverse while hanging on the latest Web3 announcements.
However, such specific targeting or users might not be as it seems. Just by looking at the divisiveness of the latest internet trends, such features might equally put off certain users as some people have concerns about the potential environmental impact of Blockchain, as well as the startling instability of crypto. Therefore, a device which contributes to or centers around these endeavours might be avoided and this would include the latest Desire 22 Pro.
As far as its display is concerned, this latest HTC phone has been equipped with a 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz display. The large display allows higher resolutions which in turn makes details like letters look bigger. In addition, the power consumption is also much lower with its small screen diagonals. In terms of its performance, the device has been incorporated with a 6nm Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Apart from that, the Desire 22 Pro comes with a 64MP main camera followed by a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP depth lens. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie lens. The photos with the main camera come out well during the day with good light. However, at night it tends to get weaker as the phone struggles to focus in low light. For the battery, the model has been equipped with a 4,520mAh which performs quite well for the phone’s operation. It is also worth mentioning that the phone comes with wireless charging. Overall, it is a great device to be explored depending on the need and preference of the user.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

78.2%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
