HP has launched a bunch of Chromebooks today. Among them is the HP Fortis G11, which is a 14-inch Chromebook that’s engineered for durability. Besides being tough, it packs capable internals to enhance the users’ productivity and can charge up to 90% in just 90 minutes.

The HP Fortis G11 debuted as a solution for students, office users, and frontline workers who are looking for a durable Chromebook. It comes with components that have gone through challenging MIL-STD 810 tests, with the chassis featuring an IP51 rating.

Speaking of the components, the Fortis G11 Chromebook has a 14-inch display, which is large enough for most productive tasks. Potential buyers have the option to configure the laptop with a screen that fits their needs. The top-end display config has an FHD touchscreen panel with a brightness rating of 250 nits. There’s also a non-touch FHD option rated at 300 nits.

On the other hand, the base config has an HD panel with a brightness rating of 250 nits. Likewise, HP offers options for RAM and storage, with the RAM starting at 4 GB LPDDR5-4800 and storage at 32 GB eMMC. The top-specced variant packs 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS on-board storage.

To promote on-the-go productivity, the HP Fortis G11 Chromebook sports WiFi 6E and supports 4G LTE. As for the processor, HP says that there’s an Intel N-series CPU under the hood. However, the official spec sheet didn’t specify whether it’s the modern N200, the popular N95, or something older.

But the good part is HP has confirmed that there’s a rich selection of ports on the Fortis G11 Chromebook, including:

  • 2 x USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1
  • 2 x USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1
  • 1 x HDMI 1.4
  • 1 x Headphone and Microphone Combo
  • 1 x SIM card Slot

Regarding pricing and availability, the HP Fortis G11 14-inch Chromebook is currently available in the US with a starting price tag of $319.
