Reviews for the HP EliteBook 850 G5-3RS15UT

HP EliteBook 850 G5 review – feature-loaded business device with minor flaws
Source: Laptop Media English
Finally, we have to say that this device is inappropriate for web designers as color accuracy is not decent plus there is the aforesaid poor color range. However, if you need a fast, cool looking laptop, loaded with features and made specifically for docking – EliteBook 850 G5 is your laptop if you are ready to pay the heavy price tag, though.

AMD Radeon RX 540: Polaris based mid-range graphics card with 512 shaders (8 compute units) and a maximum clock speed of 1,219 MHz (according to AMD). Uses the new Polaris 12 chip like the faster Radeon RX 550 (not verified but highly likely) with the slightly improved 14nm FinFET process. With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution. » Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
8550U: Kaby-Lake-Refresh based low power quad-core processor. The four cores are clocked between 1.8 and 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading. The integrated GPU is clocked between 300 and 1,150 MHz. The SoC is manufactured in a 14nm+ FinFET process.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
15.6":

15-16 inch is a standard display size for laptops and offers the biggest variety of products.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
1.78 kg:

This weight is typical for very big tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 11-13 inch display-diagonal.

HP posted US $91.7 billion in annual revenue in 2006, making it the world's largest technology vendor in terms of sales. Up to 2015, the company was named Hewlett Packard Company. After a split, the computer range was renamed to HP Inc.

In the laptop segment, HP was the world's largest manufacturer from 2014 to 2016 with a market share of 20-21% from 2014 to 2016, but they only exceed Lenovo by a small margin as of recently. HP is not present in the smartphone sector (as of 2016).
