GripNGo Vault: Tiny 6-in-1 multi-tool exceeds crowdfunding goal by by 1,686%

TiMate has just launched the GripNGo Vault, a compact titanium tool aimed at the everyday-carry market, on Kickstarter. CNC-machined from grade-5 titanium, the device is specified as 52.5 mm long and weighs 45 grams, making it small enough to attach to a keychain, bag or pendant. Functioning primarily as a screwdriver, the GripNGo's central magazine reportedly holds six 4mm driver bits arranged in a cylinder-like layout reminiscent of a revolver.

Beyond screwdriver bits, the Vault's design allows two bit slots to be swapped for a miniature utility blade and an inkless "eternal pen," which is said to mark paper, wood or other surfaces without refills. The blade is intended to open packages or cut material such as leather and cord, though its small cutting edge probably limits its capability for heavier tasks. A textured grip, magnetic bit storage and a mechanical push-slide lock aim to keep the components secure when carried. The tool's diminutive size, however, may constrain its torque and leverage as a screwdriver.

The GripNGo Vault comes in sandblasted titanium or PVD black finishes, with eight slots for optional glow-in-the-dark tritium vials. Supporters can secure a unit at a discounted price of $45, compared with a planned $70 retail price. Worldwide shipping is planned for December 2026. Buyers should be aware of the inherent risks associated with crowdfunding, including the eventuality that the product may not work as advertised or may not come at all. 

That said, the crowdfunding has already exceeded its $2,000 goal by 1,686% for a total of $35,717 at the time of writing. TiMate has also successfully crowdfunded and shipped other tools, such as the GripNGo 2.0.
