Rumor | Google inadvertently confirms the Pixel 6a's existence in new promotional material
Google is now rumored to bring a 2022 counterpart to the Pixel 5a out soon. This phone is slated to offer at least some of the current flagship's camera prowess, although certain other specs may be a lot to hope for. Its actual existence is in a little less doubt, however, thanks to a new leak reportedly dropped by the Mountain View giant itself in the form of an apparent editing error.
This discrepancy has ostensibly been left in place within new promotional material sent to the members of the Pixel Superfans group. They have been sent a gift consisting of a free smart home device alongside a fun little hard-copy coloring book.
According to this, the "new mid-range Pixel" is definitely to be called the 6a, and is acknowledged alongside existing products such as the Nest Thermostat and the 6 itself. Then again, no line drawing of the new phone to fill in is found where the table of contents says it should be.
Therefore, while the phone might indeed be poised to launch soon, its alleged re-design to fit Google's new flagship look can't be confirmed at this time.
