Gigabyte has now released its water-cooled RTX 5090 eGPU solution. Also equipped with a host of expansion ports, the Aorus RTX 5090 AI Box is a pricey affair at launch.

Earlier today, Gigabyte officially launched its Aorus RTX 5060 Ti AI Box after previewing the eGPU a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed pricing or availability yet. As it turns out though, the more powerful Aorus RTX 5090 AI Box has been put up for pre-order in the UK.

To recap, the Aorus RTX 5090 AI Box debuted in May with a design similar to the GeForce RTX 4090 version and the GeForce RTX 3080 version before that (curr. $1,552.99 on Amazon). While Gigabyte's new variant features a water-cooled GeForce RTX 5090 desktop-class GPU, it also features the following ports within its 302 x 189 x 172 mm and 5.4 kg housing:

  • 3x DisplayPort 2.1b
  • 1x HDMI 2.1b
  • 1x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 2x Thunderbolt 5 (1x to PC/1x to peripherals)
  • 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C

On top of that, Gigabyte includes an 850 W power supply. Currently, the Aorus RTX 5090 AI Box can be picked up in the UK for £2,999.99, including VAT and shipping. According to Scan UK, shipments should begin on September 30. Pricing and availability for other markets remain unknown at this stage. Please see Gigabyte's website for more hardware details about its first RTX 5090 and Thunderbolt 5-capable eGPU.
