While the Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar is a pretty sweet deal at $549, other smartwatch buyers might be leaning towards the cheaper Garmin Epix Gen 2, which has received an even larger price cut for Amazon's Prime Day.

Although the American smartwatch maker Garmin is rumored to launch new wearables later this year, outdoor fans who would like to enjoy the summer months with a new watch might want to take advantage of Amazon's Prime Day deals for the current Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar as well as the Garmin Epix Gen 2.

Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar hits lowest price ever on Amazon

The Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar, for instance, has now dropped to its record-low Amazon price as the e-commerce giant is granting a significant 31% discount on the 47mm outdoor smartwatch. Consequently, the robust wearable for outdoor enthusiasts can now be ordered for just $549 including free shipping.

Surprisingly, an active Prime membership is not required in order to benefit from this noteworthy discount for the Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar, which is made from Titanium and sports an efficient 1.3-inch MiP display. Most notably, the solar-equipped smartwatch has a long battery life of up to 22 days provided that it is exposed to sunlight on a regular basis.

Garmin Epix 2 drops by 50% on Prime Day

Alternatively, smartwatch users who prefer wearables with a colorful AMOLED display should take a gander at the Garmin Epix Gen 2, whose white color variant is also on sale during Amazon Prime Day and can now be grabbed for its record-low price of $449 including free shipping.

Aside from the more vibrant display, the Garmin Epix Gen 2 lacks the scratch-resistant sapphire and the solar charging capabilities of the aforementioned Fenix 7. Due to the more power-hungry display technology,  the Garmin Epix 2 also has a shorter battery life of up to 16 days. Nevertheless, both smartwatches are excellent deals for outdoor enthusiasts who don't want to wait for the eventual release of the improved successors to these wearables.
