Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra to use the Snapdragon 898 exclusively as leaker confirms 45 W charging for the next-gen tablets
Samsung released the Galaxy Tab S7 series a year ago, and should now be gearing up for the release of the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. Initial details of the tablet series have now surfaced well ahead of launch, and should give fans of Samsung's iPad-rivalling series something to look forward to.
According to popular tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will use the Snapdragon 898 exclusively. That means no Exynos 2200 and its AMD GPU for the next-gen premium tablets. We're not sure why that's the case, but a Galaxy S22 leak earlier on also claimed that most markets would get the Snapdragon 898. There's a chance that yield rates for the Exynos 2200 just aren't satisfactory at the moment.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series will also feature 45 W fast charging. This isn't news, of course, as the Tab S7 lineup already offers charging of that wattage. However, though, one may have expected Samsung to offer even faster charging on its tablets. Xiaomi's new Mi Pad 5, for example, delivers 67 W charging.
