GPD has brought its XP handheld gaming device to Indiegogo. Available to back soon, the GPD XP features removable controllers, a large display and runs Android 11. The device has a 7,000 mAh battery and expandable storage, too.

GPD has announced that it will be bringing its XP gaming handheld to Indiegogo. The company unveiled the device in August, during which it confirmed that it had settled on a 6.81-inch display, a 7,000 mAh battery, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Additionally, GPD has now confirmed that the XP will only be available with the Helio G95, an SoC that MediaTek released last year. So far, we have reviewed the Helio G95 in several devices, including the Moto G60s.

In short, the Helio G95 has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.05 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2 GHz. There is also a Mali-G76 MP4 GPU that peaks at 900 MHz.

While the Dimensity 900 is no longer an option, the device's removable controllers are. Unfortunately, GPD has not confirmed when the XP will be available to back on Indiegogo. However, the company has published its Indiegogo listing, which contains plenty of information about the device. Liliputing notes that GPD hopes to start shipping the XP in January 2022.
