GPD has started teasing its next compact laptop, the Pocket 3. The machine features some strange design decisions, including a trackpad that cuts into the keyboard area. The Pocket 3 will have a modular design, however.

GPD has started teasing its next Pocket laptop, presumably the follow-up to the Pocket 2 and P2 Max (Pocket 2 Max). Currently, the company is yet to publish any concrete specifications about the Pocket 3, nor when the device will arrive. We imagine that GPD will continue teasing the Pocket 3 on social media, though.

The company's concept drawings show a strange-looking device, in our opinion. For some reason, the trackpad eats into the keyboard area, while the three mouse buttons way off to the left. The keyboard itself has six rows, with half-sized number keys.

Additionally, the drawings show two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C and a full-sized HDMI port. A 3.5 mm jack joins these ports on the back, with an Ethernet connection situated on the device's rear. The drawings suggest that the Pocket 3 will feature a modular element too, possibly similar to the Framework Laptop.

Hopefully, GPD will improve its quality control in time for the Pocket 3. The Win 3 does not fill us with much confidence though, unfortunately.
