Until August 29, gamers at GOG can get a strategy game for free that has very good ratings on Steam and normally costs $15.

Tropico 4 is a classic strategy game in which players rule a Caribbean island nation as "El Presidente". You control the economy, build infrastructure and engage in diplomacy - both with internal factions and foreign powers. The fourth part of the series not only offers 20 new buildings - including shopping centers, water parks and power plants - but also introduces natural disasters for the first time. Sudden volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, droughts and tsunamis pose an additional challenge, forcing players to react quickly.

The game features a campaign with 20 missions that include various strategic and political challenges. The satirical humor that pokes fun at dictatorships and international politics is a trademark of the series and is also present in this part. There are a total of eleven DLCs to choose from, which expand Tropico 4 with additional missions, buildings, decorations, costumes and new mechanics. The Complete DLC Pack, which includes all expansions, is currently 50% off on GOG, priced at just $8 instead of $16.

Tropico 4 was developed by Haemimont Games and released in September 2011 by the German publisher Kalypso Media Digital. With 91 percent positive opinions from over 7,800 reviews, the strategy game seems to be very popular on Steam. The Metacritic ratings are also are also impressive. Tropico 4 has a Metascore of 78 and a user score of 7.7. Gamers can pick up the game, which normally costs $15, for free until August 29 at 3 pm. If you get a taste for it, you can then play the successors Tropico 5 and Tropico 6 afterwards.
