Activision and Treyarch are about to launch the latest entry to the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 7. The game is set to release on November 14, 2025, but players can now experience the multiplayer and zombie modes through the free open beta. This test phase was supposed to end on October 8, 2025, but it has now been extended.
With an announcement, Treyarch has confirmed that the free open beta for Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will now end on October 9, 2025, at 9 AM PT. This offers 24 hours of extra playtime for those who are participating in the beta. The development team has also introduced a new map in this announcement.
This new map is called Toshin, making the total multiplayer map count in the free beta stand at 6. It's set in Japan and lets players go against each other while exploring a downtown shopping district that's filled with neon lights and Japanese advertisements.
The zombie mode, on the other hand, is still limited to one map in the free beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is Vandorn Farm. Those who haven't got into the play test yet, it's available on Steam, Battle.net, PlayStation, and Xbox (Elite Series 2 Core wireless controller curr. $153 on Amazon) . Another good news for those who are just getting started is that the 2XP and 2X Weapon XP boosts are still available. These allow players to level up faster and make it easier to try out all the attachments and Overclocks.
