Fiido is currently offering the Fiido Air together with an additional battery at a greatly discounted price of $1799. Readers should note that this is the "super early bird" special, as the price is expected over time as sales gain traction. Shipping is available worldwide: prospective buyers outside the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe and China should inform themselves about possible import fees.
A lightweight e-bike with a frame made of carbon fiber, which gives it a rather futuristic look, the Fiido Air weighs just 30.3 pounds (13.75 kg) and comes with a Mivice M070 motor, which offers a continuous output of 250 watts and operates at 35 Nm. The internal battery has a capacity of just under 209 Wh; the additional battery is said to be able to double the range and is mounted on the down tube. The range in sport mode without the additional battery is estimated to be around 32 miles (52 km). Power is transmitted using a carbon belt, which is designed to be maintenance-free. Hydraulic disc brakes are fitted at the front and rear
A speed display is absent, as the Fiido Air has been designed with an ultra minimalist and lightweight approach in mind, but users can easily circumvent this problem by mounting something like the Lamicall Bike Phone Holder. The corresponding app from Fiido then displays the speed and other relevant data. A gear shift is not installed, which could prove to be a limitation. Although lights are integrated, neither mudguards nor a kickstand are available, but these can be purchased separately and installed. A rear rack is also missing, but the company implies that this will be made available for purchase and installation at a later date.
