A free Fallout: New Vegas mod sharpens interior environments with 2K and 4K textures while preserving the game’s original visual style. Although the upgrade delivers noticeable improvements and complements an existing landscape overhaul, it is still a work in progress.

A new mod called "Interior Textures Overhaul" is giving Fallout: New Vegas a visual overhaul, replacing low-resolution interior textures with sharper versions while keeping the game's original look intact. Created by modder nopoPak, it upgrades areas such as Goodsprings, Hoover Dam and the interiors of New Vegas' hotel casinos. It also replaces shared textures used across caves, offices, metros, industrial buildings and facilities, along with various utility and clutter objects.

Single textures have reportedly been bumped to 2K, with shared textures increased to 4K. The mod is available via Nexus Mods and pairs with the same creator's exterior-focused "Landscape Textures Overhaul" for a fuller upgrade. However, this isn't a finished remaster: "Interior Textures Overhaul" remains a work in progress, with its creator acknowledging that updates may not arrive regularly. While it is is a meaningful improvement, its unfinished state and dependence on one modder mean it's best treated as a work in progress rather than a definitive overhaul.
