Eurocom launched an update of its high-performance gaming laptop series Sky MX5. The latest revision of the manufacturer is the updated version of the Sky MX5 R2 15.6-inch notebook that integrates either a G-Sync-compatible 1920x1080 Full-HD IPS panel or a 4K 3840x2160 screen with a 48Hz refresh rate.
The on-board and surface-mounted design of the Intel Core i7 6700HQ CPU and Nividia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU keeps weight of the MX5 R2 gaming notebook down to 2.65kg. The onboard components also minimize power consumption, which means less heat when gaming on this slim form factor. Options include up to 64GB DDR4 RAM (Dual-Channel), and up to 4 storage drives in two M.2 slots and two 2.5 inch storage bays, for a maximum storage capacity of up to 6 TB.
The brushed aluminum, heavy-duty chassis of the Sky MX5 R2 with a thickness of 28.8 mm supports all the latest technologies, including USB Type C, Display Port, SSD PCI-E and will hold a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for data encryption. The basic configuration starts at $1499 USD with 8GB of RAM 2133 MHz (Single-Channel), 1080p display and 1TB HDD.
