Epic Games Store announces next week's free game

Epic Games Store users can currently grab Caravan SandWitch for free. The game will remain available until August 20, giving you a full week to add it to your library without spending anything. In the meantime, Epic Games has already revealed the next game that will be offered for free. 

Starting August 20, Cardpocalypse will be available at no cost. You'll have one week to claim it, as the giveaway will be replaced by another free game on August 27.

As for what the game offers, Cardpocalypse is a single-player RPG that combines collectible card games with a story inspired by the 1990s. You play as Jess, a 10-year-old girl who accidentally gets the popular Mega Mutant Power Pets card game banned on her first day at school. The students continue playing in secret, but things quickly take a different turn when characters from the card game start appearing in the real world.

The game will let you explore Dudsdale Elementary, complete quests, collect cards, and build your own decks. You can trade cards with classmates, earn rewards, and even modify your cards using stickers. The game also lets you change rules and create new cards. As for battles, they revolve around Champion cards that can evolve into powerful Mega forms during fights. There is also a Gauntlet Mode, which adds roguelike gameplay with new cards, rules, and rewards during each run.

Alongside Cardpocalypse, the Epic Games Store is also giving away the Epic Mage Bundle for Albion Online. The bundle includes skins, tokens, and other in-game content.
