This week, Epic Games Store users can claim a popular shooter game for free. However, that's not the only free game available. There are two more titles up for grabs, but they require an Amazon Prime subscription. More specifically, Prime members can claim Jurassic World Evolution and Elite Dangerous, both of which are well-received by gamers.
Among the two, Jurassic World Evolution usually costs $44.99 when there's no sale and it has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam with over 48,000 player reviews. Developed by Frontier Developments, this game lets you create and manage your dinosaur theme park. There are over 40 different species, and they can all be genetically modified.
The core mechanics of the game also involve you responding to different crises. There are extreme weather events, dinosaur breakouts, and power outages, all of which need to be managed. You can take things to the next level by playing in the Challenge mode or dial the difficulty down by playing in the sandbox mode.
As for the second Epic Games Store game available on Prime Gaming for free, it's Elite Dangerous, which usually goes for $19.99 when there's no sale. This game was also developed by Frontier Developments, and it has a "Mostly Positive" rating on Steam with over 73,000 player reviews. It's an open-world space simulation that boasts a 1:1 representation of the Milky Way.
You can play as a bounty hunter, explorer, trader, or pirate. Each of these roles offers a unique gameplay experience. For example, as a trader, your goal is to make money by trading while exploring the vast universe. Beyond the single-player experience, Elite Dangerous has a multiplayer mode, and you can also take part in community events.
Again, to claim Elite Dangerous and Jurassic World Evolution for free, you need an Amazon Prime subscription. To redeem them on the Epic Games Store, link your Epic account and open Epic's Launcher. They will be available to download in your library. Given that these two don't have demanding hardware requirements, they should be playable on most decently-equipped systems, including many gaming handhelds (Legion Go curr. $472.97 on Amazon). Check out the videos attached below to learn more about the titles.
