Emporio Armani Connected now available for purchase
Emporio Armani is well known for its luxury products, but the new Connected lineup of smart wearables is a first. Born as the result of a collaboration between the iconic fashion brand and well-known watchmaker Fossil, the Emporio Armani Connected watch looks like a classic timepiece but offers a few connected features and promises to deliver an impressive autonomy.
Emporio Armani Connected has no rotating bezels or multitouch support. However, it comes with a rather long list of connected features (it obviously needs a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone companion and the right apps to work properly):
- activity tracking
- music control (start/stop/skip commands for the music app running on the smartphone companion)
- sleep tracking
- smartphone camera control
- finding a lost smartphone
- alarm
- discreet notifications for calls, messages, and so on
- automatic time zone adjustment
This new connected watch is available with a leather strap or a three-piece link, the color choices available including black, gunmetal, stainless steel, or rose gold. It can be purchased in select boutiques and wholesale accounts, as well as online, directly from Emporio Armani. Prices start at $250 USD.
