EcoFlow announces new Trail portable power station with NCM battery

EcoFlow has unveiled the Trail Plus 300 DC Portable Power Station for the US market. It arrived shortly after the standard Trail 300 DC and entry-level Trail 200 DC products were released in this market.

The Trail Plus 300 DC has the same 300W maximum combined power output as the Trail 300 DC. However, it has three rather than two 140W USB-C ports, alongside the dual 12W USB-A ports and the 120W 12V car port. Plus, this model has a 140W Cable Handle, which can be used for charging devices or to carry the power station. 

Other additions include the built-in multifunctional camping light, and support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for remote device management through the EcoFlow smartphone app. On top of this, the Trail Plus 300 DC is equipped with a 288Wh NCM rather than a 288Wh LFP cell, which makes the power station lighter than the Trail 300 DC. For context, the Trail Plus 300 DC measures 8.1 x 4.5 x 4.8 inches (~206 x 115 x 123 mm) and weighs 5.0 lbs (~2.3 kg), while the Trail 300 DC measures 6.6 x 4.5 x 6.5 inches (166 x 115 x 166 mm) and weighs 5.7 lbs (~2.6 kg).

The EcoFlow Trail Plus 300 DC is launching in the US at some point this fall with a $299.99 RRP. As a comparison, the Trail 300 DC retails for $249.99, but is currently available at Amazon for $159.00.
