EcoFlow has announced two new portable power stations: the Trail 200 DC and the Trail 300 DC. Described by the company as ‘ultra-compact’, these two models will shortly launch in the US. They are designed for a wide range of uses including fishing, camping and parties.
The EcoFlow Trail 200 DC is a four-port power station offering up to 220W DC power. The outputs are 140W USB-C, 100W USB-C and two 12W USB-A. The 192 Wh (60,000 mAh) LFP battery should allow you to charge an iPhone eleven times or a drone eight times, and is recharged via a 140W USB-C input. This is the lighter of the two models, weighing 4.03 lbs (~1.8 kg).
The EcoFlow Trail 300 DC 300W is a more powerful option, offering an up to 300W output. It has five ports: two 140W USB-C, two 12W USB-C and a 120W 12V car port. Equipped with a larger 288 Wh (90,000 mAh) LFP battery, it should allow you to power a Wi-Fi router for nine hours or to recharge a portable projector around six times. The company lists three recharging methods for this version: 140W via USB-C, 110W via solar panels, and 110W via a car port. This device weighs 5.69 lbs (~2.6 kg); EcoFlow also lists the measurement of this variant, 6.6 x 4.5 x 6.5 inches (16 x 115 x 166 mm).
These Trail Series DC portable power stations are said to be compatible with 90% of devices such as speakers, lights, cameras and tablets. They each have an integrated display, showing charging information, and a built-in handle to make them easier to transport. They are said to be drop proof and fire resistant, and an optional waterproof accessory is also mentioned in the product listing.
The EcoFlow Trail Series DC Portable Power Stations will be released in the US on August 1st. The Trail 200 DC (192 Wh) will be available for $139.00 (RRP $199.99) at launch, while the Trail 300 DC (288 Wh) will be priced at $189.00 (RRP $249.99).
