EA Play now available on the Epic Games Store with introductory discounts

Electronic Arts has launched its game subscription service, EA Play, on the Epic Games Store with an introductory one-month discount of $0.95 (£0.95 or Rs 63.84). This offer will last till November 15, 2024, and can be redeemed by both new and returning members.

After the discount period, you can choose between two subscription plans to renew your membership. The standard EA Play membership costs $5.99 (£5.99 or Rs 399) per month or $39.99 (£34.99 or Rs 2499) annually. The EA Play Pro membership costs $16.99 (£16.99 or Rs 1424) monthly or $119.99 (£109.99 or Rs 8499) yearly. It's worth noting that the EA Play Pro plan is only available through the EA or the Origin app.

The membership will give you access to EA's game catalogue which contains titles from franchises such as Star Wars, Dragon Age, Battlefield, The Sims and more. You also get a 10% discount on any digital EA game purchase in the store which is applicable to point packs and DLCs as well.

The service gives you a 10-hour trial for select new game releases with an option to carry over your progress if you buy the full game. At launch, game trials are available for EA Sports FC 25, EA Sports WRC 24, EA Sports Madden NFL 25 and F1 2024.

It is worth noting that once you commit to all this, you will be tied to the platform meaning things like rewards can not be transferred from the Store to other platforms like Steam or the EA app.
