The affordable 16-inch laptop from Dell's consumer-focused Inspiron series has hit its lowest sale price so far on Amazon as the online retailer currently grants a considerable 29 percent discount on the AMD Ryzen 7-powered machine.

While the new 15-inch MacBook Air is certainly a decent choice for regular buyers who are looking for a more or less simple everyday laptop, Windows users can save some of their hard-earned bucks since comparable 16-inch notebooks with Microsoft's operating system are quite a bit more affordable. For instance, Amazon is now running a noteworthy deal on the most recent Dell Inspiron 16.

Specifically, the e-commerce leader is offering the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 configuration with an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U octa-core processor and 16GB of soldered LPDDR4x RAM for just US$749, which constitutes a discount of 29 percent or US$300 relative to the laptop's official MSRP. This model also comes with a spacious 1TB PCIe SSD and a QHD IPS display with 300 nits and 100% sRGB coverage. Furthermore, Camelcamelcamel illustrates that this is Amazon's lowest price ever for this version of the 2023 Dell Inspiron 16.

We haven't test this particular machine just yet, but its spec sheet suggests that the Inspiron 16 5635 is a well-rounded 16-inch laptop in its price range of well below US$1,000. In addition to the main components mentioned above, the Dell notebook comes with a backlit keyboard, a practical fingerprint reader as well as an adequately sized 54Wh battery. On a more critical note, the HDMI 1.4 port is a bit outdated, but new owners have three USB ports at their disposal, one of which is of the 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C variety and comes with DisplayPort and PowerDelivery support. While gamers might want to look elsewhere, this deal is worth consideration for multimedia users who are in the market for a reasonably priced QHD notebook with one of the latest AMD CPUs.
