Announced at CES just two short months ago, the Dell 14 Plus, 16 Plus, 14 Plus 2-in-1, and 16 Plus 2-in-1 are now available to purchase directly from the manufacturer. Starting prices are as follows:
- 14 Plus: $1100
- 14 Plus 2-in-1: $1050
- 16 Plus: $1200
- 16 Plus 2-in-1: $1050
Surprisingly, the bar is relatively high when it comes to the base configurations and so even the cheapest options should be sufficient for the target audience of office or Latitude users. All four models come with Lunar Lake V-series CPUs and at least a 1200p IPS display. They can all be configured with up to the Core Ultra 9 288V and 32 GB of soldered RAM. Meanwhile, only the two 16-inch models can be configured with 2.5K mini-LED HDR600 90 Hz displays.
The announcement of the 14 Plus and 16 Plus series was met with mixed feelings as Dell will be dropping the traditional Latitude, Inspiron, and XPS naming conventions for more familiar words like "Plus" or "Pro". The goal is to have shorter names with fewer proper nouns in order to make shopping easier for the general audience.
Based on our time with other Lunar Lake laptops, these four Dell systems should offer excellent battery life and performance-per-watt efficiency especially when it comes to graphics performance compared to AMD. Readers can expect our full reviews on these models in the weeks to follow.
