Unequivocally, Apple makes some of the best large tablets that money can buy. Its third-generation iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 impressed during our tests last year, with the latter achieving a 92% overall rating. Incidentally, this is the same rating that we gave its predecessor.
One consistent gripe we have had though with all versions of the iPad Pro has been price. The second generation iPad Pro 12.9 started at US$799 for the 64 GB Wi-Fi model, with prices rising to US$1,279 for the 512 GB LTE model. Apple made some notable improvements to the third-generation, including a more stylish design, but it also bumped up the price. The 512 GB LTE model, for instance, costs an eye-watering US$1,499, which is US$220 more than its predecessor.
However, B&H is currently running a sale on the flagship second-generation version of the iPad Pro 12.9, making it a more palatable purchase. The company has discounted the 512 GB LTE model to just US$719, a saving of US$560 that undercuts the launch price of the cheapest model too. The tablet also comes with 4 GB RAM, a 2,732 x 2,048 display and an Apple A10X Fusion SoC. The latter is still a capable chip that even outclasses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 in some benchmarks like GFXBench 3.0.
You must act quickly though, as the B&H deal is only running until tomorrow. Specifically, the offer expires in just over 15 hours.
