Chargeasap Zeus 270 W GaN USB-C charger is crowdfunding
The Chargeasap Zeus is crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The campaign is off to a roaring start, reaching over 50 times its funding goal. The company claims that the Zeus is the first 270 W GaN USB-C charger and also the most compact in the market. According to the company, the gadget is 45% lighter than its competitors, weighing 320 g (~0.7 lbs) and measuring 90 x 42 x 50 mm (~3.5 x 1.7 x 2.0-in).
You can charge four devices simultaneously via one 140 W and two 100 W USB-C ports and a 36 W USB-A output, which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The gadget supports Apple fast charging, allowing you to power products like the Macbook Pro 16 at full speed. Other devices you can charge with the Zeus include smartphones, drones, Nintendo Switch and cameras.
The charging hub comes with adapters to suit US, AU, EU and UK plug sockets. The US adapter has foldable prongs to make it even easier to transport. Plus, the device has an 0.9-in (~23 mm) OLED screen, which shows the real-time power output for each port. You can currently receive the Chargeasap Zeus when you pledge US$119 to the Kickstarter campaign; the MSRP of the gadget is US$219. The company is shipping worldwide, with deliveries expected in May.
