Mai Shiranui joins as the second guest character for Street Fighter 6, the second SNK fighter to be joining, a ninjutsu fighter with a flashy moveset and unlockable cosmetics from her origin game, Fatal Fury. Also amongst the announcements for Street Fighter: The last guest character, Elena, is to be shown at a later date. The 11th Capcom Cup was also announced for March 5th, where the world champion of Street Fighter 6 will be crowned. Excitingly, for the second time in a row, a prize pool is very decent at a million dollars. More information including how to get tickets can be found here.

Capcom Spotlights Marvel Vs Capcom coming to the Xbox

Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection appeared at the Spotlight, announcing the Xbox One version released at the end of the showcase, as well as showing quick clips of each game featured in the release, including many of the fighting community games favorite in this franchise; Marvel Vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. Players can expect seven different games in this collection, with online play touted as a big feature.

It didn’t stop there though, as Capcom also headlined Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which will have both crossovers and 3D fighters in this collection, also with online play rolled in, releasing on May 16th for PC and all current generation consoles. Showcased in this collection was games series such as Capcom vs SNK and the Power Stone series. While some of these probably won't be for everyone, it is nice to see Capcom releasing their older fighting games for those who want them.

Okami features alongside Kunitsu-Gami

Capcom also showed off the teaser for the Okami sequel once again. Hideki Kamiya, the original director of the first game, has come back to direct and collaborate with Capcom for the new game. Fans of this game have waited a long time for the sequel, and with this announcement, many (including yours truly) are hoping the wait will be worth it.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess made a quick appearance, revealing a new demo version is available to those who want to try the blend of action and strategy in this game. For those looking forward to both the Okami sequel and those wanting to try this game, there was also a new bundle shown for Okami HD and Kunitsu-Gami.

Previously announced last year, it was revealed Onimusha was finally getting a new mainline game after 20 years, with Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Producer Akihito Kadowaki speaks after, detailing the team is focused on "using Capcom's latest technology to make the new game as captivating as possible." He then goes on to say players can expect a new protagonist in the setting of Kyoto, with appealing enemies both visually and mechanically. Readers can watch the full trailer here.

Alongside this trailer was an announcement of a full remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, releasing on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam, coming in 2025.
