CRKD ULT Pro gaming controller debuts with 1,000 Hz polling and rich feature set

Gaming hardware manufacturer CRKD has launched the ULT Pro controller in a variety of colourways. Available for preorder at roughly $70 / €74, the device is expected to start shipping only in June, so a little patience may be required. If you can’t wait, a wide range of well-equipped controllers are already on the market.
CRKD positions the ULT Pro in a higher-end segment and aims to impress consumers with a suite of advanced features. For instance, the company included TMR joysticks to prevent stick drift from happening even after long periods of use. Besides the two thumbsticks, a D-pad, and the usual action buttons, the controller also comes with extra inputs, including six programmable buttons. These can be mapped to action buttons, for example. There are also buttons for switching between profiles configurable via a companion app.
The ULT Pro features Hall effect triggers with travel that can be adjusted using a switch. While it ships with a rechargeable battery, users have the option to swap it out for standard AA batteries. The D-pad and joystick caps are likewise replaceable. Included in the box is a charging station. The controller supports both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, ensuring compatibility with smartphones as well as the Switch 1 and 2. When connected to a PC via a cable, the ULT Pro supports a maximum polling rate of 1,000 Hz.
