CD Projekt Red highlights key Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 features
CD Projekt Red has, for the most part, kept its word about supporting Cyberpunk 2077 in the long term. While there is still no word about when the free single-player DLC will drop, we have a good idea about what the Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 has in store for us. It isn't nearly as feature-rich as its predecessors, but it brings forth one significant QoL improvement.
Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 will now let you re-spec your character's perks on the fly. It costs 13,200 Eddies and can be purchased straight from the Perks screen. There is a possibility that it could be a factor of your character level, though. Previously, one had to find their way to a RipperDoc and buy an item worth 100,000 Eddies. The new feature should allow new players to try out new builds in real-time. For example, you could tackle one mission as a brawler and another one as a Netrunner.
One also gets a zoomed-out view of the minimap while driving. It should make navigation a tad easier, as you'll be able to see sharp turns/bends ahead of time. There is a minor UI change in one of the game's missions that has you choose between two NPCs. There should be a few more bugfixes here and there, but nothing more. We'll know for sure on August 17 via a Twitch Stream, where the developers will walk us through everything Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 has to offer.
Apart from the promised single-player DLC, CD Projekt Red has also remained tight-lipped about the next-gen upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077. The game is still unable to take full advantage of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S's hardware. A roadmap from earlier this year promised that it would arrive sometime in H2 2021. At this point, it seems like the said DLC and next-gen upgrades will be bundled together. Multiplayer support isn't due till 2022, unfortunately.
