Seagate unveils a limited Cyberpunk 2077 SSD with RGB lighting and a vast heatsink
Seagate has released a new SSD, albeit one aimed exclusively at Cyberpunk 2077 fans. The company has based its Cyberpunk 2077-themed SSD on the FireCuda 520, so it supports PCIe Gen 4, the latest 3D TLC NAND technology and at least 512 GB of storage.
Theoretically, the FireCuda 520 Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition and the FireCuda 520 will offer identical performance, assuming you compare the same storage capacity. However, Seagate has included a substantial heatsink on the Cyberpunk 2077 version, so it may run cooler than the regular FireCuda 520. Seagate believes so anyway and claims that the heatsink reduces temperates by up to 22 °C (71 °F).
The Cyberpunk 2077 version is relatively large, though. According to Seagate, the SSD measures 80.15 x 22.9 x 18.25 mm with the heatsink attached, meaning that it exceeds standard M.2 specifications.
The SSD also has RGB lighting, but Seagate only plans to produce 2,077 of them. Unfortunately, the company is yet to confirm how much the FireCuda 520 Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition SSD will cost, nor when it will be available.
