The Redmi S2 has been making the rounds across the headlines for a while now. The device will be Xiaomi's next budget offering and is expected to be launched on Thursday, May 10. We had hands-on images of the S2 last week, and now it has been spotted on an AliExpress listing.

Going by the listing, the Redmi S2 will sport a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS display. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 625, and will feature 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Camera-wise, it opts for a 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera setup and a 16 MP selfie shooter. A 3080 mAh battery gives it power, and is chargeable via a Micro USB port, by means of a 10W charger.

Interestingly, the device is listed with a US$164 price tag. That puts it in the same price bracket as the Redmi 5 Plus but with arguably better features. There could also be an Android One variant of the Redmi S2 on the way, although that isn't confirmed for now.

The seller on Aliexpress is the HongKong Goldway store, which is a pretty reputable shop for Xiaomi products.
