The Bethesda Gear Twitter handle just Tweeted about a new N7 shirt with a link back to the official Bioware gear shop. By Occam's Razor, it could be an innocent mistake made by an employee who got the two accounts mixed up. Interestingly enough, the Tweet is nowhere to be found on the official Bioware Gear Store, where it was supposed to go originally.
The erroneous Tweet was posted not once but twice, within the span of half an hour. The first one got promptly deleted but was saved by some eagle-eyed Twitter users. The second Tweet was up for quite some time but eventually got removed. Thankfully, we managed to archive it.
Not too long ago, the official OnePlus India Twitter handle made a similar mistake and Tweeted about the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's S Pen. Once again, this highlights the downsides of offloading social media responsibilities to a third party, though it might not be the case in this instance.
Bioware and Bethesda use the services of a company called Dpirpomo to sell and market game-related merchandise. In all likelihood, it also manages the merch-related Twitter accounts of both companies. Someone probably forgot to switch handles before Tweeting. Twice.
