Battlefield 6 enjoyed a strong launch but is now experiencing a sharp decline in player numbers. While such drops are common within the genre, many players point to specific issues as contributing factors, and overall community sentiment remains tense. The recent delay of Season 2 to February 2026 had already left fans frustrated – making the disappointment surrounding its rumored content even more pronounced. At the center of the current debate is a leaked trailer, which first surfaced on the Chinese platform Bilibili before spreading to Reddit.
The leaked video features a small armed helicopter similar to the Little Bird, as well as motorcycles – both of which could add speed and mobility to the gameplay of Battlefield 6. Dataminers have also uncovered three new weapons: the GRT-CPS (based on the MSBS Grot), the VCR-2 (VHS-2), and the M121 A2 (MG5). While the footage has sparked some discussion on Reddit, the content shown does little to shift the community’s overall mood. As user u/r0ndr4s puts it: “I’ll go back to the game for this, but I’m not gonna bother paying for a battle pass or a skin if this is the output they can come up with.”
The limited amount of new content is a recurring point of criticism among players, with many arguing that two maps over several months simply are not enough. Ongoing issues related to map design, balancing, progression, and lingering technical problems have only added to the frustration. So far, neither Electronic Arts nor DICE has issued an official statement regarding the leaked material. This silence, however, still leaves room for hope among fans that Season 2 may offer more than what has been shown so far.
