Audi Q4 e-tron to receive a few small upgrades for the 2022 model year
There are many very capable all-electric cars available in the premium SUV segment, one of which is the quite popular Audi Q4 e-tron. A few months before its very first anniversary, the German SUV is now about to receive a few small but certainly useful upgrades for the 2022 model year, at least on the European market.
According to Autoblog, the charging speed of Audi Q4 e-tron configurations with the larger 82 kWh battery will for example become faster as the electric SUV can now charge with up to 135 kW instead of 125 kW, which is a moderate increase of about 8 percent. The enhanced charging capacity is apparently made possible by improvements to the software which is responsible for the thermal management of the battery, but Audi Q4 e-tron vehicles equipped with the smaller battery pack can unfortunately not benefit from this upgrade.
Furthermore, the Audi connect software in the Q4 e-tron will now support Amazon's voice assistant Alexa and gain a few additional functions in conjunction with the accompanying myAudi app for iOS and Android smartphones. The infotainment system is also upgraded with an optional 11.6-inch touchscreen, while the most visible change on the exterior of the 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron comes in form of a new and also optional "Black Optics Plus Package" which includes black trim elements and badges.
