90% Asus Zenbook S14 (UX5406) Review: Premium, Portable, and Powerful
Source: NDTV Gadgets English
The Asus Zenbook S14 sure makes a strong impression in the portable ultrabook category. The laptop is sleek, highly portable, and looks premium. The refined Ceraluminum design puts it in the league of premium ultrabooks, comparable to the likes of MacBooks. The display is another area where the laptop excels. The OLED display is vibrant and delivers punchy visuals, while the high 120Hz refresh rate makes the overall animation much smoother. The performance is top-notch and competitive in this segment. Moreover, the laptop features a long-lasting battery. So, if you are looking for a reliable 14-inch laptop that is portable, looks premium, and is powerful enough for everyday productivity tasks, then you can indeed consider this one. As for the competition is concerned, the Asus Zenbook S14 will face a tough fight from the likes of Dell XPS 14, Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro 360, and more.

Finally, let’s address the price. We’re fairly certain that the current memory pricing situation has played a part in this laptop’s pricing (and it will affect everything for that matter), but at RM8,499, it’s still a very steep price tag to stomach for an ultrathin laptop. Granted, what you get for this price is pretty much everything you’ll want out of a great laptop: excellent performance, quiet fans, long-lasting battery life, great audio and display, and them some. With this kind of price though, we expect darn near perfection – if this laptop came with the Core Ultra X7 or X9 processors with the GPU performance to back it up, there is at least a solid case to be made on the value proposition; but in current form and current market climate, it’s a tough pill to swallow, even though it’s a great laptop otherwise.

90% ASUS ZenBook S14 (UX5406) review: Practical premiumness for a price
Source: 91mobiles English
The ASUS ZenBook S14 (UX5406) nails the modern ultraportable formula. It's sleek, highly portable, and powerful enough for everyday productivity and light creative work, all while offering one of the best OLED displays in its class. The refined Ceraluminum design, great keyboard, solid battery life, and competitive performance make it an easy laptop to recommend. It's best suited for professionals, students, and creators who want a premium, fuss-free machine. Pricing starts at Rs 1,79,990 for the Core Ultra 7 355 variant, while the Core Ultra 9 386H unit goes for Rs 1,99,990. Finally, our Ultra 9 variant, coupled with a 1TB SSD, costs Rs 2,49,990. That said, for most users, the Ultra 7 variant is the smarter choice unless that extra performance is necessary. As for alternatives, the options are still fairly limited in the Intel Series 3 space right now.

The laptop also features some handy upgrades over its predecessor, making it a more complete laptop. You also get a brighter OLED touchscreen, a larger battery, a lighter design, and more. I got the chance to spend some time with the device, and this is what you need to know. Starting with the pricing, the Asus Zenbook S14 (2026) is priced at Rs. 1,79,990 and will be available for purchase on both online and offline platforms.

90% ASUS Zenbook S14 (2026) Laptop Review
Source: CG Mag Online English
Copilot+ laptops are excellent across the board. Microsoft’s strict hardware requirements ensure every device is competitive. The so-called Appleization of Windows isn’t without its critics, but the performance benefits are hard to argue with. By putting all the major manufacturers on equal footing, Copilot+ has turned the market into a battle of inches between brands. The 2026 Zenbook S14 (UX5406A) is yet another example of Asus pulling ahead by miles. While some of its competitors are going all-in on novelty screens and preinstalled AI tools, Asus has focused solely on build quality and style. The result is elegant, reliable, high-performance laptops that are certain to turn heads. I’ve handled more laptops in my life than I care to admit. What most of them have in common is that they’re unremarkable. To stand out, a device needs a memorable design: sleek like a MacBook, iconic like a ThinkPad, or bewildering like a Toshiba Qosmio. The Zenbook S14 is the second Asus laptop I’ve tried this year, and I greeted it with an “oh, hello there, beautiful” when I opened the box. A reaction that I was sure would be limited to the ExpertBook Ultra.

80% Asus Zenbook S 14 (2026) Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
The Asus Zenbook S 14 (2026) is a brilliant compact Windows laptop with solid performance, excellent battery life and a gorgeous OLED screen. It’s also got a functional port selection, a comfortable keyboard and grown-up looks. Just watch out for meagre graphical horsepower and a higher price tag. As beefy as the Core Ultra 9 386H processor inside is, it’s not as potent as the Core X7 358H inside the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro, with its beefier integrated graphics that make Samsung’s laptop a stronger choice for more graphically intense tasks. At a similar price tag is also the Asus Zenbook Duo (2026), complete with Core Ultra X9 388H and two 14-inch OLED touchscreens for the ultimate creative package. ASUS Zenbook S16 (UM5606GA) Review
Source: Yugatech English
Overall, there are a lot of changes ASUS made to the Zenbook S16 to make productivity life easier, but it still retains the familiar feel we’ve come to love from the Zenbook line. The lid might have been redesigned, but style is subjective. What we enjoyed, though, was the slimmer design and a relatively lighter chassis. It’s more capable too, with a more powerful chipset, paired with 32GB of RAM. Not to mention, the battery lasts a very long time. If anything, our only concern about the 2026 ASUS Zenbook S16 is the price. We’re not surprised by the price jump given how expensive computer parts have become. But for reference, at the time of writingg the laptop retails at PHP 134,995 on the ASUS Philippines website. So if you’re still using a relatively new laptop, we wouldn’t recommend upgrading just yet. But for those who need to get work done fast, and want a capable laptop for productivity, as well as light creative work and gaming, you definitely can’t go wrong with the 2026 ASUS Zenbook S16. But what do you guys think of the new ASUS Zenbook S16? Would you consider upgrading to this, or would you still choose a different laptop? Whatever the case, share your thoughts in the comments below.

For others who seek a capable ultraportable with a large touch display, excellent battery life and capable performance for heavy productivity, the Asus Zenbook S16 UM5606 comes recommended, more so for the fact that Asus has managed the feat of keeping the price down 2024 levels even with soaring prices for storage and RAM with few sacrifices.

80% I spent days with the new Asus ZenBook S16. Here’s what I think about the premium notebook
Source: The Indian Express English
The 16-inch Asus ZenBook S16 looks different, has a stunning OLED display (it’s a touchscreen too), features a fairly capable new AMD processor, and comes with an excellent keyboard. These qualities make the ZenBook S16 one of the top mainline premium Windows notebooks on the market. However, as a consumer, you should also be aware that it is a marginal upgrade over the ZenBook S16 I reviewed in 2024. Modest year-over-year upgrades to laptops, much like smartphones, are a reality, and we should accept that by now. If you are in the market for a new laptop and have a higher budget earmarked for a Windows machine, you can certainly consider the new ZenBook S16. But don’t ignore the competition from other brands, which also offer very capable laptops. You could also consider the previous-generation ZenBook S16 (2024), which is selling for less.

80% Asus Zenbook S16 review: All of it, in one centimetre
Source: The Times of India English
Rs 1,49,990 is serious money. But so is the Zenbook S16. The OLED screen is genuinely one of the best on any laptop right now. The six-speaker setup sounds better than it has any right to at this thickness. The port spread covers everything without a single dongle. And the fact that a 28W processor runs cool and quiet inside a body this thin still doesn’t fully make sense to me. Where you’ll need to make peace: the 32 GB RAM is soldered—so what you buy is what you live with, but given how RAM prices keep climbing, Asus probably did you a favour locking it in early.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is a major Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer based in Taipei, founded in 1989. Under the Asus brand name, the company manufactures a wide range of products, including laptops, desktops, motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, smartphones and networking equipment, complete systems and PC components for end users.

Under the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand name, ASUS manufactures gaming laptops known by gamers for their powerful specifications, dedicated graphics cards, high refresh rate displays and advanced cooling systems.

Beyond gaming, a wide range of notebooks are offered for different needs and budgets, from ultra-slim and lightweight ultrabooks to versatile 2-in-1 convertibles and budget-friendly options. In 2023, Asus had a 7% global market share of the PC market.

Customer satisfaction with ASUS notebooks concerns performance, the features, and the good price-performance ratio of ASUS notebooks. However, as with any brand, there are occasional reports of problems such as overheating, driver compatibility, or build quality issues.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Intel Graphics 4 Xe3 PTL: The Intel Graphics 4 Xe3 is an integrated graphics card in Panther Lake SoCs with 4 Xe3 cores (32 EUs / 512 ALUs), 4 raytracing cores and a clock rate of up to 2450 MHz.

AMD Radeon 890M: The most powerful AMD iGPU as of mid 2024. It features 16 RDNA 3.5 architecture CUs (1024 unified shaders) running at up to 2,900 MHz. On average, the 890M finds itself very close to the GTX 1650 Laptop making it possible to play 2024 AAA games at 1080p with most settings set to Low.

Intel Panther Lake:

Ultra 9 386H: High-end 16-core SoC of the Panther Lake family and top model with 4 Xe3 GPU cores. As with Lunar Lake, the built-in NPU 5 offers 50 TOPS and now offers support for FP8.

AMD Strix / Gorgon Point:

Ryzen AI 9 HX 470: A powerful Gorgon Point family processor that launched early 2026. Its similar to the Strix Point HX 375 but with higher clocked CPU, GPU and NPU. The Ryzen AI 9 series APU comes equipped with 12 CPU cores along with the 16 CU RDNA 3.5 Radeon 890M graphics adapter and the 55 TOPS XDNA 2 neural engine. There is no PCIe 5 support here and 8 of the CPU cores are slower than the other 4.

14.00:

14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.

In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.

16.00:

This range for display formats was and is a rarity. It is larger than the general standard of 15 inches, but not yet in the range of large workstations. One usually has higher screen resolutions available, but portability suffers from that.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

No weight comment found (one expected)!

87.3%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
