Reviews for the Asus TUF Gaming F15 FX507ZM
Aside from the obvious CPU update to 12th gen Alder Lake-H, the FX507 carries significant changes over last year's FX506 both inside and out. Performance hunters will especially appreciate the high TGP target relative to other gaming laptops of similar size.

The key to enjoying life with an Asus TUF Gaming F15 is making sure you buy the right model. The one I’d strongly recommend is the machine with the QHD 165Hz display, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU and Moonlight White colour scheme. That’s the optimum combination of performance and value and will get you a gaming laptop that can produce higher frame rates at 1080p than any other RTX 3060-based machine we’ve seen. Add to that the catwalk good looks, tough construction and premium features such as the MUX switch and G-Sync technology and consider that you’ll still get a penny change from £1,400, then what more can you ask for? It’s a fantastic gaming all-rounder.

Okay, wrapping up this review, the 2022 edition of the Asus TUF Gaming F15 is a clear winner—oh, yes. The performance jump compared to 11th Gen CPU in its predecessor is huge, whereas Asus has gone the extra mile to include the highest TGP RTX 30 series GPU too. But simply throwing in high-performance processors is just half the battle when it comes to delivering a great gaming experience. You also need a competent thermal system that can keep the temperature in check and a display that’s able to keep up. Thankfully, the F15 has got it all covered! Once again, I wish its base model had a 100% sRGB color gamut too, but I guess that’s too much to ask for in the mid-range segment. So if you’re a gamer or even a content creator looking to buy a new laptop at this price range, I feel confident recommending the TUF F15 to you. I tried but I really can’t find any major, deal-breaking flaw here. I can obviously nitpick about a few things like the underwhelming speakers, uneven keyboard backlighting, and a couple of other stuff.

The latest refresh to the TUF F15 series makes the series a serious contender in the affordable gaming laptop segment. The TUF F15 FX507ZM I tested, proved to be a very capable machine for gaming as well as video editing and other heavy tasks.

The 2022 TUF Gaming laptops are a major step-up from the previous generations in terms of capabilities, design, and implemented features. On top of that, the Intel-based TUF F15 series is significantly faster than the AMD A15 variant in CPU-heavy loads, and a match in sustained loads for higher-class notebooks, despite the fact that this is a more affordably priced option. Sure, I still have some nits with the ergonomics of this series and the choked fan intakes with the laptop sitting on a desk, but overall the TUF Gaming F15 lineup is a worthy contender this year. Don't expect long runtimes on battery, though - if that's important, go with the AMD variants instead.

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 gives you exactly what you want from a great gaming laptop: plenty of power at a good price. Yes, the experience is a little rough around the edges with tinny speakers, a potato for a webcam, loud fans, a cramped typing experience with a spongy touchpad, and a macho aesthetic that could be considered cringeworthy. But come on — the TUF Gaming F15 emanates power potential that largely beats or matches the more expensive ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15 at a cheaper price. That value proposition is something you should not ignore in what is a great system for gaming at home or while you’re out and about.

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 is a masterclass in delivering an elegant form factor and strong gaming performance at an attainable price, all in a chassis that won’t weigh you down when you need to go somewhere. Also, it has some of the longest battery life in a gaming laptop today.

In conclusion, is the TUF F15 worth it? Well, it depends on the user’s needs. It is one of the best value for money machines out there for gaming. Still, for anything else, like video/photo editing, the user is better off upgrading to a more expensive/better screen since this one is the worst downside of this laptop or purchasing another machine altogether.

In conclusion, the TUF F15 is a very good gaming notebook from Asus and one of the first laptops in India to be equipped with Intel’s 12th-generation chipsets. There is nothing exorbitantly wrong with the device, and Asus has laid the foundations of a gaming laptop here. You get excellent performance, good build quality, a smooth 300Hz display, and much more. Yes, at Rs. 1,40,990, it’s not the cheapest gaming laptop, but considering factors like the global chip shortage, the laptop is priced okay. Of course, it has more affordable variants in the TUF F15 series starting from as low as Rs 1,17,900, which you can consider. That being said, if you are looking for something cheaper and can make a few compromises on overall performance, you can buy last year’s Asus TUF F15 or even take a look at Lenovo’s Legion series.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
