Asus Strix GL531GV-PB74
The Republic of Gamers series, or better known as the ROG series in short, is a widely acclaimed lineup of gaming laptop models continuously thriving under the banner of Asus for a very long time. It is considered to be one of the go-to one-stop referral when it comes to making decisions in the purchase of amazing gaming laptops. As of late, Asus has introduced another model into the world, which is currently known as the Asus Strix GL531GV. Worry not, as this particular laptop model still flies under the governance of the Republic of Gamers. The Asus Strix GL531GV has a Panda LM156LF IPS panel display screen, which carries the approximated measurement of up to 15.6 inch. The anti-reflective Panda LM156LF IPS panel only boasts 120 Hz rather than the marginally superior 144 Hz. This cutback is considered to be a budget-friendly offering for those who seek to make an investment in a decent gaming laptop on a calculated and scaled expenditure. The rather miniscule details which are lacking in quality in terms of visual graphics are not that big of an issue and it would seem to perform rather well for an entry-level gaming laptop. In addition, the Asus Strix GL531GV does not suffer from a declining performance. This trait is attributed to the very fact that the Asus Strix GL531GV is more than capable of housing powerful core components as one would have expected from a gaming laptop model hailing from the Republic of Gamers (ROG) series. The Asus Strix GL531GV can be integrated with the Intel Core i9-9880H processor unit which is astoundingly powerful especially when incorporated within a gaming laptop. The Intel Core i9-9880H processor unit can cap up to a clocked performance rate of 4.8 GHz with its Turbo mode. Though admittedly, such higher-than-average performance rate can typically only be achieved through the activation of Thermal Velocity Boost. Pairing the Intel Core i9-9880H processor unit with a graphics card of similar caliber guarantees one’s gameplay experience to be phenomenal for very long hours. The Asus Strix GL531GV’s main attraction point is its customizability of LED colors, which will have no consequential impact whatsoever on the performance of the device. This customizability feature is a trait in which lots of gamers often look forward to in a gaming laptop. It is what would have been expected by the majority of the gamer community for the mass to be able to customize their precious console in accordance to their own liking. Asus' Republic of Gamers lineup just got a lot bigger. The Strix G GL531 adds a splash of customizable LED colors to the series without impacting the overall performance we've come to expect from a gaming laptop. Fan noise when gaming could still use some improvement.

74.8%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
