Asus has already revealed the most important details about the new ProArt Display PA27USD ahead of IBC 2025, before the monitor is expected to be officially unveiled in the next few days. The screen features a classic professional monitor design with numerous buttons on the front and a hood that shields the screen from stray light.
A special feature is the integrated colorimeter, which can be folded out for fully automated calibration of the monitor. The screen supports both HDR10 and HLG. It can be connected to a computer via HDMI, DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C), with the latter port capable of charging laptops with up to 96 watts and connecting to an integrated USB hub. The monitor is based on a 27-inch QD-OLED panel from Samsung, which features full 4K resolution, a frame rate of 240 Hz, and an HDR peak brightness of 1,000 nits, with 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
The ProArt Cinema PQ09U was announced at NAB in April, and more details about the giant microLED screen are expected to be confirmed at IBC. It's a 162-inch microLED display that features full 4K resolution and an HDR peak brightness of 1,200 nits, a relatively conservative value by microLED standards.
At least the screen is said to be capable of perfect black, as each pixel can be individually dimmed. 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage is advertised. This model is likely to be positioned as a larger alternative to the smaller, but brighter ProArt Cinema PQ07. No details on the price or launch date of the two new ProArt monitors are currently available.
