Apple may not have revealed the AirPods Pro 2 yet, but it has revealed a new pair of earbuds that support ANC and Spatial Audio. The Beats Fit Pro is cheaper than the current AirPods Pro and has already received positive reviews from 9to5Mac and The Verge. In short, the pair consider the Beats Fit Pro on par with Apple's AirPods series, whether that be the AirPods 3 for 9to5Mac and the AirPods Pro for The Verge.
The Beats Fit Pro relies on the Apple H1 chip and is compatible with 'Hey Siri' voice commands. Supposedly, the earbuds last up to six hours with ANC active, while the bundled charging case can full recharge them three times. The case does not support wireless charging of any kind. Incidentally, the Beats Fit Pro is IPX4 certified, which should be good enough to withstand light rain and sweat.
The earbuds support a transparency mode too and are available in black, grey, purple and white. The Beats Fit Pro retail for US$199.99, US$50 cheaper than the AirPods Pro and US$20 more than the AirPods 3. The latter supports MagSafe charging though, for reference. The Beats Fit Pro will start shipping later this week.
