Apple iPhone 16 Pro revealed in new Gold Titanium colour option through pre-release case leak
The release of the iPhone 16 series nears, with Apple having now confirmed details of its next launch event. For context, Apple's 'Glowtime' event will occur on September 9, where it is also expected to introduce devices like the Watch Series 10 and up to three sets of AirPods. While Apple has kept more details under wraps than peers like Google and Samsung, some tidbits have emerged about the iPhone 16 series in the last few weeks.
Now, 9to5Mac claims to have received an image showing the iPhone 16 Pro in a protective case. Although the website cites an anonymous source, it claims that they accurately identified the Grey Titanium colour in which the current iPhone 15 Pro (curr. $801.99 - renewed on Amazon) is available. Thus, 9to5Mac believes that the Gold Titanium colour shown is accurate too, at the very least.
Moreover, the same image matches previous expectations for iPhone 16 Pro models. For example, the device has three rear-facing cameras in the same configuration as previous Pro iPhones, as well as a series of magnets to make it compatible with MagSafe accessories. Furthermore, a cut-out for the presumed 'Capture' button can be made out, which is anticipated to be Apple's first crack at mass-producing solid-state buttons. Based on recent rumours, the Capture button will have various uses, but only within Apple's camera app.
